Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh) [India], August 20: On the auspicious occasion of Nag Panchami and Sawan Somwar, the Akhil Bharatiya Yadav Mahasangh organised a special service initiative at Ujjain Mahakal, offering Mahaprasadi and pure bottled drinking water to devotees visiting the sacred city.

Sawan holds immense religious significance for devotees of Lord Shiva, while Nag Panchami is another important occasion marked by devotion and traditional worship. During these auspicious days, Ujjain witnesses a large gathering of devotees who arrive from different parts of the country to seek the blessings of Baba Mahakal.

Keeping the needs of devotees in mind, the Akhil Bharatiya Yadav Mahasangh arranged Mahaprasadi and pure bottled water as part of its service initiative. The effort was aimed at providing support and convenience to devotees during their visit to the holy city.

The initiative was led by Amar Singh Yadav, Founder of Akhil Bharatiya Yadav Mahasangh. Under his leadership, the organisation has focused on promoting the spirit of service and community participation during important religious and social occasions.

Speaking about the initiative, Amar Singh Yadav emphasised the importance of serving devotees during such sacred occasions. According to him, religious festivals are not only about prayers and worship but also provide an opportunity to contribute to society and extend support to people in need.

The distribution of Mahaprasadi reflects the traditional spirit of devotion and community service associated with Indian religious celebrations. At the same time, providing pure bottled drinking water was intended to address an essential need of devotees, particularly those spending extended periods at the temple and surrounding areas.

Ujjain holds a special place in India’s spiritual landscape, with the Mahakaleshwar Temple attracting devotees throughout the year. The number of visitors increases significantly during the holy month of Sawan and on important occasions such as Sawan Somwar and Nag Panchami. In such circumstances, initiatives by social organisations can play a meaningful role in supporting devotees and contributing to the overall spirit of the occasion.

The Akhil Bharatiya Yadav Mahasangh’s initiative brought together religious devotion and social service, reflecting the organisation’s commitment to community participation. Through the distribution of Mahaprasadi and drinking water, the organisation sought to make the pilgrimage experience more comfortable for devotees visiting Baba Mahakal.

For Amar Singh Yadav and the Akhil Bharatiya Yadav Mahasangh, the initiative represents a broader message of seva, compassion and collective responsibility. Serving people during a sacred occasion is seen as an opportunity to strengthen community bonds and encourage others to participate in social welfare activities.

The programme at Ujjain Mahakal on Nag Panchami and Sawan Somwar thus became an expression of faith combined with service. The initiative highlighted how religious occasions can also serve as platforms for community engagement, cooperation and helping fellow devotees.

Through such activities, the Akhil Bharatiya Yadav Mahasangh continues to underline the importance of service alongside devotion, with the objective of contributing positively to society and supporting people during significant religious gatherings.
